About
I'm a New York City-based right-brained creative type. As a former news person and current social worker, I thrive at the intersection of communication and human connection. Nine years in the field of journalism across various mediums fostered my sharp writing and editing skills. I worked for big media names including News 12, FOX Business and PEOPLE, with a stint writing news for the Google Home & Mobile Assistant in between.
Like many during the COVID-19 pandemic, a combination of global and personal events made me reevaluate my career path. I decided to get my masters in social work and graduated from NYU in May 2023. This experience allowed me to become a proficient academic writer and editor. I’ve become equipped with even more tools and lenses through which to approach and contribute to communication.
Though my current full-time job is hospital social worker, in true millennial fashion, I’m continuing to pursue side hustles. Specifically, I have used my skills to help high schoolers find their voice and tell their stories through college essay tutoring. I’m interested in additional freelance creative opportunities including but not limited to: copywriting, copy editing, proofreading, content management, user experience (UX) design, SEO strategy and analytics.
